I used that stuff to fix the air tubes for my cats back when I had stock exhaust and didn't know I could get rid of it. LAter, I used that same stuff to seal in a pipe plug in the air tube holes to cork off the leak for good.

Humm, if you had a pigy back plug. Degreased the underside of the pan then used that as a weld of some sort would that keep it from leaking? or might it seep tru it? Humm... Where can i get it?

you could use the epoxy putty to epoxy a nut onto the pan over the old hole. then get a new plug that will thread into the nut

                WOW

that is a excellent idea and it sounds like it would work just fine.

So the pigy back plug would be about the same though aye? Or would just a nut do better?

im not sure what you mean by piggie back.. duce's idea sounds like it would be pretty simple and effective.

A piggy back plug is a plug with another plug inside of that one. In thery, you could hire a good welder to weld the main plug onto the pan. However finding a good welder around here well... Lets just say I dont trust them :P

By the time you pay someone to weld up the pan, you could probably just buy a new one.

It's possible to replace an oilpan without removing the engine entirely.

                          Ask me how I know.
