Any sort of power tools makes it tolerable. Just imagine doing one by hand tho, it would have to suck.

what a difference in size. will the TB swap and EGR mod fuction ok with an otherwise stock lopo? thats one hell of a restriction i'd like to get rid of.'88 Colony Park, white with wood grain contact paper, K code axle, hose pliers on heater hoses, factory duals, big plans in the future...

Yes, but only if you use the HO upper intake to go with it. Using the larger throttle body and spacer on a stock lopo upper won't do much good. The opening in the end of the lopo upper is much smaller than the HO size spacer is86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

Fuck. I've been reading up on swapping the upper intake, tb, but I don't think there's a snowballs chance in hell of me swapping the linkage on the TBs correctly. I don't even know where to start, and chances are pretty good I don't have the tools for it. can't weld.sigpic

Why don't you ask Scott how much he'd charge to do it and ship your parts to him?
Then you'd have the piece of mind of knowing it was done right.
Don't know what your budget is, but I bet Scott could put a whole assemly together for you if you asked.Former panther owner

After adding threadlocker to the ball stud thread, problem solved, and no welding.

I guess I don't understand the parts involved. Looking at the pics isn't helping me...much, anyway. I see what needs to be done but am terribly afraid of breaking shit like this when I do it myself.Last edited by 1990LTD; 01-03-2010, 03:15 PM.sigpic

Just the arm on the throttle body is what we call the linkage.
