    Another update. I will be picking up the trans next friday night! :banana:

    Ill have to store it in the closet with the rest of the parts, lol... I also finally got a pic of the shifter I scored. I got it for free from the boneyard, just threw it in my box and walked out

              Well, i just picked up a set of equal length shorties for 50 bucks! They are hookers. Need to be cleaned up a tad, but oh well! He was even nice enuff to include some of the downpipes... Enjoy!

                Sandblast them and they will look like new. I have not tried it, but BBQ grill paint is supposed to last a while if you paint your headers with it.

                  1986 lincoln towncar signature series. 5.0 HO with thumper performance ported e7 heads, 1.7 roller rockers, warm air intake, 65mm throttle body, 1/2" intake spacer, ported intakes, 3.73 rear with trac lock, 98-02 front brake conversion, 92-97 rear disc conversion, 1" rear swaybar, 1 3/16" front swaybar, 16" wheels and tires, loud ass stereo system, badass cb, best time to date 15.94 at 87 mph. lots of mods in the works 221.8 rwhp 278 rwt
                  2006 Lincoln Town Car Signature. Stock for now
                  1989 Ford F-250 4x4 much much more to come, sefi converted so far.

                      Looks like the driver's side header came in contact with the steering shaft. There are dents on the #7 and #8 tubes.

                            Do you have the flywheel, clutch, and pressure plate?

                            Wonder what it weighs? My TKO is not very light.

                                Tom, I dont have the clutch and stuff. I plan on an SFI rated flywheel, and one of those spec clutches you sent me a link to

                                It isnt light, but it doesnt weigh as much as a Cast Iron toploader either :coocoo:
