the cam i have for my motor is a .538/.560 and thats for a 351 or a 408 and it whould pull to 6200 or so. that cam on a mild 302 will be undrivable on the street
Thats a lot of cam. You probably dont need or want anything that radical for a truck motor. High RPM power band is worthless in a truck application. You're also going to need to pay attention to piston to valve clearances, and you'll need better heads, intake, and exhaust to really make proper use of that.
