      Did they even have "police interceptor 460's" my moms old fury 440 had a hot cam in it and a few miner tweeks to the engine but thats about it, so what about the ford 460?

        Yes.... there was such an engine as a 460 PI.... The heads were a little different...
        The hot engines were the 429 PI motors. For 70 and 71, they were pretty much 429 CJs. For 1972, the heads were a slightly smaller and arguabley (for street use) improved port version than the CJ head.
        Unfortunately, Ford never saw fit to put the CJ heads on a 460. This combination would have been the ultimate Ford interceptor engine.....
