Get some "360 Swinger" (thats what the last ones I bought were called) hangers and clamps. They are easy to use, and fairly versatile. They are like $7 a piece, and I find them to do an acceptable job. They're rubber isolated, and they have a long tail that you can modify to mount virtually anywhere.

        This looks like them. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

I like the ones with an enclosed loop (where the clamp goes through), as they seem to stay together better. You may want to paint them (VHT, etc), because they will rust if left untreated.

ok, just have some $2 hangers on there now(gonna get some better ones with rubber isolators) and muffler clearance is gonna be ok.

just have exhaust as far as the mufflers right now till i figure out the angles i want/need for my taste.

i would really like to gut the second set of catalytic converters but with the bends it looks like it will be a bitch.
anybody had any luck gutting them while still on the car?
havent had to take it to a muffler shop yet and would like to finish it myself cause emissions or not might be hard to find a place to cut it off and replace with straight pipe.
          thanks, Bill

When I get a little healthier I'll get some pics of the hangers and clamps that my father modified for the dual exhaust. The Heartthrob Impala catback that we used (some parts of) had clamps with rods welded to them for different hanging positions. We had to fab up some modded hangers for the H-pipe. Damn, once I get this fookin' flu kicked I'll get outside and get some pics.

                            quick update on the exhaust,
since those big ass cherrybombs take it so far back , i'm just gonna put turndowns on her and call that good for now.
they go past the passenger compartment already and i finally got to take her for a spin today and its nice to hear the radio without all the drone and not smell the fumes.
its not really loud at all but has a nice purr without drawing unwanted attention.:cops:

hope to eventually gut the converters and bring the pipes on out , but it will do fine in the meantime.
                            thanks, Bill

to the left of the pic is what my exhaust has looked like for the last 3 yrs. sounded good, smelled awful at a stop. wasn't doing my lungs any favors.
