Squeaking how? Over bumps, continuous, cyclical, sporadic, loud, or faint? Most likely it’s just your calipers not completely releasing from your rotors, not a big deal just annoying. Could it be your belt? My AC compressor is out of line by maybe a freaking 1/32” but is squeaks like mad when it’s warm. I’ve tried everything I can think of to stop it, if you have any nifty ideas that might stop it from squeaking I’m WIDE OPEN to suggestions.

does the squeaking come and go during certain conditions??
Does it seem to follow the rpm of the wheel? if so look at the brakes.
Does it seem to be faster than the rpm of the wheel? if so look into your U-joints.

click, squeak, grind, roar, chatter, U-joints will do them all.

Mine mostly squeaked untill i replaced them

none of the needle bearings were to be found in two of the 4 cups

its pretty stupid how you can only get u joints with grease nipples on trailer towing package cars, unless you install em ur self, and u joins are fun to replace!

When I picked up the wrong joints the first time from Advance, they gave me the option of some upgraded ones, which had grease fittings. When I found they were wrong and got the tow package ones, they didn't have the upgraded ones, but the cheapies had grease fittings anyway.

U joints are cake to do. We have a modded C clamp at work just for the purpose. On the C end, we have an old socket welded to it, and the "foot" on the threaded part has been removed. Just crank it on and they pop right apart.

I don't think my U joints have ever been replaced? I've had this particular driveshaft and U joints for over 130,000miles. May be a good idea to check and see if they need to be.

grab the driveline, and push and pull on it. If you can hear the U-Joints knocking, they need to be replaced.

while that's an adequate way of diagnosing ujoints, by the time you can do that, they're well past gone!
