Does anyone have or know where to obtain a set of blue silicone radiator and heater hoses that will work with my 87? I'm talking about the high-temp heavy duty hoses that you can find on some police and EMS vehicles. I NEED a set of these for my vehicle and have seen them before on late 80's police cars and dozens of Ford diesel ambulances from the factory. It shouldn't matter if they are for a 351 or 302 car, so please let me know either way. Thanks.

you should be able to get silicone hoses in bulk from any truck shop i wouldn't know about pre formed hoses though. i'd rather use good ol' rubber hoses anyway, they seem to last longer and you can see that they need to be replaced before they blow. silicone hoses don't really show any sign of swelling or fraying before they fail'88 Colony Park, white with wood grain contact paper, K code axle, hose pliers on heater hoses, factory duals, big plans in the future...

Rubber hoses hold up OK, especially if you get good ones. The Motorcraft ones hold up really well, seen plenty of panthers with the original hoses on them still. Mind you I wouldn't be running 20 year old hoses, but if they held up that long, figure a brand new set should last quite a while.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

The big truck dealers carry the blue silicone hoses in bulk. I know the Volvo / Mack dealer have them.89 CV LX 225/60 x 16 tires, CC819 rear springs, Front & rear sway bar, trans & PS cooler from 90 cop car. KYB shocks, F-150 on rear. Dual Exhaust w/ H pipe. This is true. I have tried to use bulk hose and it is very hard to get it to work. But if he has to have blue, I would say that how he will have to do it.89 CV LX 225/60 x 16 tires, CC819 rear springs, Front & rear sway bar, trans & PS cooler from 90 cop car. Some of the hoses have two different sized ends too, so you cant use bulk. Ford seems to like doing that.sigpicVic Videos Here http://www.grandmarq.net/vb/showthre...676#post243676

You may just go with the standard Goodyear hoses, bending your own hose more than likely won't work out like you want it to. Especially with the bottom hose. The Goodyears only cost about $5 more per hose, you can order them at AutoZone. About 2-3 day delivery. I was gonna buy them when I put new ones on in spring, but...
I bought Kelly Springfield hoses instead, and they're real nice. Last for quite a long time too. Standard equipment, but still very good hoses.1984 Ford Crown Vic LTD, The Murphmobile (RIP)
