    The O'Reiley librarians are obviously idiots. If that would have been Auto Zone or Advance, they would have given you the specs and offered to test it for you if you bring it in.....

      OK..We put a new pickup in distrubtor still no fire. I checked the coil on 20K and from post to each lead was 7.5 I will check it again with the INFO I just recieved from one of you great guys. If the coil test good WTF?

        Do a spark test and see if you have any. If you have spark then it's a fuel problem.

          spark testers from harbor freight are cheap enough. another thing these cars are known for. they are known for being picky about teh connection to the battery, fuel pumps crapping out since the cars are old, and the fuel pump relay.

            OK, today I checked the coil with key on...11.59 volts on both sides of coil? I then check the coil with a spark plug and jumping the Prmy and Secd. I did g et a spark on the plug. Still wont start. WTF Over?

              It's a fuel issue check to see if the inertia switch hasn't been tripped.

                WE got the beast runnini...turns out the new module was bad. So after all the BS with the distrubtor shaft, new pickup, it was the new Mod. Thanks so much, and good driving to all of you. Don.

                      i hate installing new bad parts. really screws with the troubleshooting process since you expect the brand new item to be working.
