well its one of my cousins freinds dad, my cousin had a bronco that the guy ported and put new everything in the heads for only $150 and the guy is a real engine builder that knows what he's doin, but ill have to call the guy

Other thing to keep in mind is that GT40 heads have larger valves in them, so they've got an advantage right out of the box. The stock E7s will still have the pathetically small 1.78" intake and 1.46" exhaust valves, so even if you have them ported, keeping the stock valve size is going to be a hindrance, and it may be difficult to get them to flow as well as GT40s. The valve size can be changed, of course, but it's more money. If you can afford to do it, though, Dave (turbo2256b) claims that his buddy Gerry can make E7s out flow GT40s.

I'm gonna say that his are going to be somewhat of a rare find. They also cost twice as much as some used GT40's. They might flow a bit better, and depending on application, might be the better choice.
The real test is to have Mrlandyacht come to scottfest and race against my car. In thoery his car should completely lay waste to my wagon.
A 150 buck buddy doing the work isn't going to be nearly as good as Daves work.

well, here's one thing to keep in mind. Having a set of E7 heads ported is probably going to be MORE expensive than just getting a set of GT40 heads. GT40p heads actually flow even better, and are usually cheaper because people are scared of the special headers, which honestly aren't that expensive. There are a whole lot less that fit, but Ford Racing makes a rather nice shorty header that fits them perfectly.

Offy 360 works fine at low RPMs. Professionally built E7 heads can support pver 300HP unported with a factory HO cam.
A 1969 302 head isn't any less interchangeable than a E7 302 head is. They all bolt on and can use the same intake and exhaust manifolds. A different rocker arm configuration does not change interchangeability. The different chamber sizes will effect your motor though.

smaller valves are better for torque......if i didnt have heads and it was 2 bills for some rebuilt e7's or 400 for used gt40's i'd go with the e7's
