          don't ask me where the decade is, I just know its the original axle under my 1986, so the numbers jive pretty well. I think the production date on my car's door sticker says 7/86 so it must be a mid-late July car if the rear was built on the 15th. I found the date code stuff here:



          normally there would be some engineering number that I guess you could base the decade off of, but I dont know where that number happens to be on the axle housing. I'm sure its somewhere but I dont care enough to look. Probably E2 or E3 or something.
