    The cutting of the cats

    After a whole day of waiting for the snow/rain to stop, it finally cleared up and was a brisk 45* out. I started installing my new exhaust system. As the subject suggests, I am deleting the cats. I already have one off, and have the new Summit Performance Oval muffler installed, and it sounds sweet! It has a nice rumbe at idle, and when you rev it, it quiets down, which is what I was looking for. It is actually louder than when I had the Glasspacks + Cats installed. The rest will be finished tomorrow, if it is still nice outside.

    BTW, would anyone like a pair of used Glasspacks? They have around 1000 Miles on them, and are still in good shape.

      jon find an off road pipe for a mustang, and i'll send u a set of factory ho headers.......gotta have a nice leakfree system lol

      1986 lincoln towncar signature series. 5.0 HO with thumper performance ported e7 heads, 1.7 roller rockers, warm air intake, 65mm throttle body, 1/2" intake spacer, ported intakes, 3.73 rear with trac lock, 98-02 front brake conversion, 92-97 rear disc conversion, 1" rear swaybar, 1 3/16" front swaybar, 16" wheels and tires, loud ass stereo system, badass cb, best time to date 15.94 at 87 mph. lots of mods in the works 221.8 rwhp 278 rwt
      2006 Lincoln Town Car Signature. Stock for now
      1989 Ford F-250 4x4 much much more to come, sefi converted so far.
      1986 Toyota pickup with LSC wheels and 225/60/16 tires.
      2008 Hyundai Elantra future Revcon toad
      1987 TriBurner and 1986 Alaska stokers keeping me warm. (and some pesky oil heat)

        It's all clamped up for now, I don't have access to a welder at the moment, lol. I cut the cats off right behind where they are welded to the pipe coming from the manifolds.

        Scott, how much do you want for the headers?

            What do you think is fair? I don't really care about the money, otherwise they will be just more stuff I don't need taking up room I don't have!

            BTW these are 30" 2 1/8" inlet/outlet. The paint is flaking on them, but otherwise are in good shape.
