That is all the more reason to hang a pump on the motor. If you are doing some serious building and beefing up, just stick with a carb for the long run and you can put more money into the rest of your combo instead of buying expensive FI parts. Unless you are installing used fuel pumps, you should not have to replace yours again.

Yes....the block doesn't care if it is out of a 2000 Explorer or a 1962 Fairlane. Bolt a different timing cover on it and add an eccentric. Cheap easy stuff.

Well just for GP even though you don't have cruise already. If you hook the cable up you won't loose cruise. The cruise control is worked by a sepparate module beside the computer under the dash. It is independant of the computer system. So you could have your cruise even with the carb engine.

Might have a tough time finding the needed linkage bits to do that tho.

1991 is one of the years where the cruise is integrated with the computer. You could get the system from an early carb or CFI CV/GM however.

Are you sure about that? I know I had EFI in my Vic, even though is is 86 and it is not integrated into the computer.

Well if it is integrated you could always frankenstien it, it only needs a few inputs, like power, VSS, the controls, solenoid, and brake switch.
