Murph, those better be some real short mufflers, when I was building my exhaust I picked up the shortest ones I could find and still the only way the exits clear the rear tires would be using S-bends like those Phayzer advised against.
Couldn't you just shorten the midpipes so that you can just curve the tails right after the muffler like you had it without having to use real short mufflers? You might have the hangers hanging onto different parts then stock but that's not a big deal is it?

You can move the mufflers only so much before they hit the floor pans under the rear passengers' feet. And the floorpans under the rear seat are only so long.

They actually do make shortie glasspacks, my friend had them on his old 'stang. The body on them was only about 8 inches, lol.

where are those hung from in the back? I don't see any hangers for the tips or at the back of the mufflers. gotta have something holding it up back there or it would have been dragging on the ground by now. i just can't see it.

you welded the tips to the frame? doesnt that make the whole car drone real bad? normally you want some flex in the system so the pipes can move with the motor.

So, Monterey, have you decided on a brand of muffs to put on if you'll be pulling it out infront of the rears?
No mufflers. Just pipe after the converters.
As for clearance issues, I'll deal with that when the time comes. '91 currently has leaky air shocks and somewhat new stock springs. I'll probably just up the springs to something better.
