hydraulic flat tappet lifters be pretty cheap too....I remember you saying you had lifter noise, Sooo might not be too hard or expensive to fix.

Mangs, I got the head (No pun intended) back from the machine shop today, got a new double roller timing chain/gasket set, so all thats left is get the center head gasket and a new set of head gaskets....Todays cost was:
Timing Chain w/ new gears and Timing chain gasket-$38
Machine Shop Costs-$20

Total-$58

*UPDATE*
Fished out the missing piece of lifter
Prepped the head/Block/and all other gasket surfaces
Got the Double Roller Timing Chain and gasket
Just need the new head gaskets, the intake manifold gasket and the exhaust manifold gasket(Mine were TOAST)
Should have it back together by the 7th......
I will update when I get it running.....

exhaust gaskets probably disintegrated when you pulled them loose. They always come apart like that.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).
