Ram Air for a carbed 351?

I have been thinking of doing this for a while, but which will be more effective:
Hoodscoops, or dual snorkel the breather under the front bumper like some mustangs only more subtle appearance....

    Put a shaker on there!

I've always kind of wanted to remove the high beams and do a ram air setup that way like the T-Bolts.

Both will work, but if the car is to be a daily driver, a hood scoop large enuff to help, will block much of your needed view and should be left to the track only cars.

The ram effect with only help at speeds above ~70mph.

Oldsmobile was well known in the late 60s for their 'Ram Air' scoops under the front bumper going into a sealed air cleaner assy.

Another option is to pick up the air from the outer headlight buckets. Remove the high beams and move the low/high beams to the inside. I used this on the street for several years with good results.
On mine, I added some metal pipe to the rear of the headlight bucket, attached the flex duct to it and ran the duct to an old 84/85 Stang air cleaner assy.

Good for almost .2 in the 1/4.

Speed cost....how fast u wanna go??

It's not how much hp u have...
It's how much hp u can put to the track...

Let's seperate the men from the boys and put that power to the track using street tires and stock suspension components

Now I'm seriously considering it! Did you have a trunk mounted battery?

It's a wagon. There is no trunk.
Yes. If u decide to use the outer headlights, the battery must be moved to the rear. Mine is in the old spare tire well.
To be NHRA legal, a push/pull cut off switch must be located on the outside rear anytime the battery is moved to the rear.

You could possibly pick up the air from under the bumper and snake the duct around the battery. I would advise using some exhaust wrap to prevent burning the flex duct.
