    coolant in oil while doing engine work

    I am in the process of swapping my lower intakes and stuff, and I cleaned all the coolant out as best I could out of the lifter valley, but I was sure some drained down. So I poured oil all over the lifter valley and then drained the oil. When I did I noticed a lot of coolant came out before the oil did on the rear drain plug. Should I run the motor for 20 mins, then change the oil again after I'm done or something like that?

      1986 lincoln towncar signature series. 5.0 HO with thumper performance ported e7 heads, 1.7 roller rockers, warm air intake, 65mm throttle body, 1/2" intake spacer, ported intakes, 3.73 rear with trac lock, 98-02 front brake conversion, 92-97 rear disc conversion, 1" rear swaybar, 1 3/16" front swaybar, 16" wheels and tires, loud ass stereo system, badass cb, best time to date 15.94 at 87 mph. lots of mods in the works 221.8 rwhp 278 rwt

        The water will drop to the bottom of the pan. Just draining it should be fine as long as the engine hadn't been run with the coolant in the oil.

          I got some water in an oilpan once. A guy told me to put in a quart of Marvel Mystery Oil along with a gallon of regular 10W30 or 10W40, and then give it another oil change as soon as it's heat-cycled a few times. All I know is, the motor seems to be showing no ill effects. :p
