i'd say thats pretty normal then. as long as its running ok and isnt making any abnormal noises i wouldnt worry about it much.

Give a man a fish and he will be fed for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will promptly forget that he once did not know, and proceed to call anyone who asks, a n00b and flame them on the boards for being stupid.

yeah, its got some wear, but its not critical. Just keep oil in it and keep driving. Might want to jump to the next heavier grade of oil too.

Also check your sending unit to make sure it isn't leaking... mine was doing that, and had the same thing happening when I was idling... or an extended light coming on the first start up of the day. Also, have you changed the filter lately... When I worked for Advance, we had some problems with some oil filters collapsing (The filter element ended up all drawn up in a ball) mostly Fram filters tho... But I had one do that on my car.... and it wasn't a Fram filter.. but I cannot remember what type of filter it was.... changed the filter and the light went off... mine was staying on... Tom...

I haven't checked the sending unit, I'll take a look at it tomorrow. The oil filter is new. I just changed the oil in the car not long ago. I'm very cruical on staying on top of those kinds of things. I've had the collapse before...not fun. Thanks for the info.
