yeah, its got some wear, but its not critical. Just keep oil in it and keep driving. Might want to jump to the next heavier grade of oil too.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

Also check your sending unit to make sure it isn't leaking... mine was doing that, and had the same thing happening when I was idling... or an extended light coming on the first start up of the day. Also, have you changed the filter lately... When I worked for Advance, we had some problems with some oil filters collapsing (The filter element ended up all drawn up in a ball) mostly Fram filters tho... But I had one do that on my car.... and it wasn't a Fram filter.. but I cannot remember what type of filter it was.... changed the filter and the light went off... mine was staying on... Tom...
