    2nd Breather????

On my 91 cv I noticed a hose running to the rear of the Intake Manifold, further inspection proved this to be a INTAKE hose, connected to the SMOG unit.

    My question is can I:
1-Put a SMALL breather (Advance Auto sells a 2-3" Air FIlter)

    2-Run a 2nd hose to the breather.

3-Use a 2nd hose to hook into a semi-CAI under the radiator, etc...

Any Info will be helpfull, ideas are welcome too...

The "smog unit"? Are you talking about the air pump? Pictures would be helpful...

Maybe he means the hose that runs to the thermactor bridge at the back of the heads?

          Intake hose

The hose I spoke of is the ONLY hose that runs to the rear of the engine, The SMOG I speak of is the Emissions Controller thingy, has a shitload of vaccum hoses, etc, and is connected to the "soupcan" described in another post. I'll post a pic of the unit if I can find one...

Its not an intake. Its the air injection manifold that bolts to the back of the heads. It does not need a breather if you remove the smog stuff. Just use a rubber pipe cap to close it off.

if the check valve is leaking, the pipe will spew exhaust all under the hood...
you can remove this pipe and cap the holes on the back of the heads in a couple ways
