for my 84 to shift to its last gear i have to let off gas a little and then she shifts. Y?????

TV pressure is set a little high. What speed is thing happening? If its around 45, I'd leave it alone. Low TV pressure is a typical cause of early death on these transmissions, and they shift really crappy with the pressure low.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).
