    oil leak front of engine

Hi, I noticed a little pooling of oil in a recess in front of the engine block just about where the shaft of the distrubutor emerges.I am not sure if I am getting my terminology right so the attached pics should give you a better idea of the problem. Could it be the distrubutor O-Ring needs replacing ?

if you mark the distributor, it makes real easy work changing the o ring
mark the position of the rotor on the cap adaptor with a sharpie
take a small chisel and make a mark on the crank and the block down at the distributor base for reference
take out the holdown bolt and pull out the distributor
        reinstall lining up your marks

Thanks Guys. Now I know what those drops of oil under the car are. I was surprised cause I had the sump leak fixed a month ago and couldnt see anything that caused this occasional drip. Only noticed it while replacing the AC Compressor belt.

sweet, I have the same leak and have just ignored it, like the valve covers. Yes my Daily driver doesn't get much attention, other then a wash every week.
