Exhaust options

so if i got mufflers, and shorty headers and an H pipe for an 86-93 stang, a shop wouldnt have to custom make anything if i used impala tailpipes? they seem hard to find, is it that expensive for them to make tailpipes for me?

advance auto parts can order the impala ss tailpipes
they are made by dynomax......muffler shop tails arent mandrel bent

oh and you cut the extension pipes down to length that is needed on your install

we dont have advance auto parts on the west coast. how much do ss tailpipes usually run from auto parts stores like that?

summit racing and jegs sell the tailpipes 94-96 impala ss just the over axle sections what u want

The extension pipes should be available from any auto parts store.

so i think i got everything i need to get figured out. except i cant find the mid pipes your talkin about. the pipes that would connect the h pipe like in the pic below to the mufflers.

Hey Scott, hows the quality of those tail pipes? They fit well and all? Do they last, or rust to crap like the stuff I buy from the local auto parts store?

they are aluminized......mr ltd has had his about 2 yrs.....no rust

Sweet, my custom bent tails are a little over a year and their shit.

The asses removed the vibration dampers (between cars and h pipe), and now the exhaust vibrates like mad. It has broken all the hangers at least once, and now the pipe is cracking. I may be making my own exhaust this next time.

no problem.......check out gadgets exhaust thread......we installed his when my old welder shit the bed, and we clamped the whole system......still looks decent, nothing broke or vibrating....just 6 extra clamps lol.....so far gadget, mrltd, yucatech, superlincoln, my vic gt, have the impy ss tail setup works decent.....i wouldnt say perfect, but close for off the shelf parts

Yea, you'll wanna keep those Vibration Dampers,trust me.

How do those Impy Tails fit? I wanna redo mine with mandrel bent pieces,but I will not accept tail pipes that hang below the bottom edge of the Rear QP,looks like ass.
