Thinking about buying HO, need opinions

I'm thinking about buying the motor portion of the above auction. I talked to the seller and he'd sell the motor separate from the wiring + computer (which I don't really need). It's local for me.

How much do you guys think it is worth, assuming everything pictured comes with it? How about just the long block?

Do you think the 68K is legit? The Motorcraft oil filter leads me to think it was well maintained.

Yeah, his BIN is high. I was thinking along the lines of $300 if I check it out and it looks clean. Do those exhaust ports look stock?

you'll have to excuse my use of a 1990's imac with a tiny screen

I attached a larger version to help you out . I've had those small screen issues too, the computer at the house has a 14in monitor.

The exhaust ports just look a little large to me. It could be the way the picture is taken. You can see something in there clearly, I'm guessing exhaust valves.

              I offered him $300.

I got confused on the intake being on the Panther way too. But like Mercracer said, it's not attached. Plus it had the cast aluminum valve covers and serpentine drive system, so I figured it's mostly likely a true HO. I'm certainly gonna look over it good before I buy it. I know he won't accept my offer, though. Anyone interested in an HO Upper, TB, 19-lb injectors, and a Mustang serpentine system?
