    An Idea...

Alright so as I have stated before, I am having an overheating issue. I should be gettin a new radiator soon. Now my idea is this:

Theoretically the less accessories you have to turn with the belt the more power you will see right?

Well ever since I bought my car the AC hasnt worked. Which is fine by me, as I dont use it much anyways. So if I took the AC hardware out of my car, plus the cooling radiator for the AC then I would see a little more power right?

Also this would help cool my actual radiator faster as its behind the AC radiator.

Just an idea. I am a noob.... Be nice

You aren't really gonna see any increase in horsepower from doing that, but it does free up some space in the engine bay.

Yeah the space thing is another thing I was thinkin about. The biggest thing was the cooling the actual coolant Radiator faster and better rather than it have to go through the AC one first. I dunno. Like I said I really dont need the AC anyways.

Well, having to go through the air conditioning condenser isn't really going to have a significant effect, unless of course it's plugged with bugs (and that could happen just as easily to the radiator itself). That said, if you want to rip out the A/C and you're gonna have the radiator out anyway, now would be the time to do it.

As long as you're sure you wil never want AC, there are a couple reasons to ditch it all, but gaining power isnt the biggie.
You will gain a little, but not enough to make you say "whoah!"

You'd get more from weight savings. Personally I'm a fan of artificial arctic conditions, and have a great fondness for my AC compressor and its associated plumbing. If you're pulling it though, the condensor is very easy to remove once the radiator is out. 2 screws at the top, lean it backward and slide it right out.
