If you do get over here, let me know. I live on the way. Those headers do look a lot like my BBK's, but with a better finish (mine are chrome).

Oh, I see. I have been out his way a lot more, and have not seen his CV cruising around. Did the headers come with gaskets and hardware? Got a pic of it? The BBK's I got came with some pretty useless gaskets.

                thanx.
yea, I noticed on summit that the FRPP ones have a not that says they will fit GT40P heads...I wonder if the Summit ones would as wel..I didnt see the note there.

btw, maybe someone can aswer this for me since we're touching on it...

is there a difference between GT40 and GT40P heads beside the location of the spark plugs?
                Power difference? material?

Same material, but the different spark plug location and other improvements makes them the best factory small-block ford heads.

Or so i'm told. I know I will be happy with mine. Mine are stock, cleaned up a bit, milled, with a backcut on all the valves, 1.7 RRs, and an HO cam.

Should be a great runner, with stock reliability/driveability

                    sounds great Tom!
but what about the Ps them makes them better?
bigger ports over reg. GT40 heads?
                    bigger valves?

the gt40p has the larger intake valve like the gt40 head but the exhaust valve is the same size as the e7 heads......the p heads actually make more power....it's called velocity

Phayzer5, thanx for the info...I put it here because its part of my ride.
I didnt want to put it in the 5.0Tech area since I'm not really asking a question...and its not exactly Off Topic since its about me car...but if you prefer to move it, I got no problem with that...you can go right ahead.

ok, ic...so a GT40 head has bigger intake and exhaust valves over a E7, but the Ps have bigger valves only on the intake and the exhaust is same as E7.
now when we say bigger valves...do we mean bigger than E7 or biger than E6?

hmm..so...with that in mind, could E6 heads be ported to perform the same as Ported E7s?

e7's start off with a much bettter port design and flow characteristics...its not really worth it to pump money into the e6's since you can get e7's cheap, or free in some instances, and gt40's for not much more
