    87 Crown Vic EEC

Simple question that Ford, Somedata, Shopkey, or Mitchel can't seem to answer for me. Is an 87 Crown Victoria LX LTD with original SEFI and mass air an EEC III or an EEC IV controlled car? Seriousley, is this a hard question?

Early CFI, 1980-1983 was EEC III. 1984-1985 was EEC IV CFI.

                    That's wierd, lol.

The '84 and up would use that EEC IV, lol. '83 and prior had EEC III.

Yeah, does anybody know whats going on with the MAF? My car was 100% dealer serviced by my grandparents till I got the car and it has OE mass air from the factory. Has anyone seen another 87 with mass air? All I've seen have always been MAP/speed density cars. I will be taking some pics for the non-believers asap. I know for a fact this car has an OE mass airflow sensor because I put a K&N air filter in it when I was a punk 15yo kid and the oil from the filter coated the filament in the sensor the first time I cleaned and subsequently over-oiled it. My car was running rather rich, so I pulled it out and sprayed it clean with QD electronic cleaner and it fixed the problem...

Oh. I didn't know that. Could the EEC IV from a CFI unit be used on an efi?
