    cloud of smoke out tails

I am noticing after I don't drive Anabelle for a day or so, then WOT onto the highway she blows a very large cloud of smoke out the Drivers side tailpipe. But only once, after that any other wot runs don't smoke. I am worried because that is the side that I have a tiny coolant leak out the front of the lower intake coolant port, because I had it welded, but never true'd. I should probably take it off, get it true'd up, and reseal it right?

I think you answered your own question on this one. its probably a really slow leak but its still a leak, i guess it all depends on how bad it bothers you.

i'd get it off and get it over with before it gets worse and does real damage.

          clear smoke ???? wtf !

having a leak at the timing cover will NOT cause any fluid to get into the combustion chamber and burn. it will cause intermix with the engine oil.

white smoke is usually coolant, its possible a small about is puddling up in one of the cylinders while the car sits, then burns off when you drive the car the next time.
leaking intake or head gasket are the most liklely causes for coolant getting in the combustion chamber.
rent a cooling system pressure tester and check for leaks.

He said front corner of the lower intake, which is where the water passage is. If its not flat, it could be moving from the water passage to the intake port thats right next to it. I would get that taken care of, if its also mixing coolant with the oil it will take out the bearings rather fast.

              sorry, mis-read what he posted.
Front corner of the lower intake would certianly cause problems. need to get the sealing surface on the manifold machined to make sure its sealing.
