Rubber high pressure fuel injection hose

Can you just cut and flare the steel line and clamp some of this in its place, so you can plumb whatever you want????
It sure would make evolving the CFI easier, but if its dangerous I dont wanna do it.

You will need the special clamps for the high-pressure fuel hose, they don't have sharp edges so they don't cut in the hose. Other than that I think you'll be alright, just make sure you have nice big flares on the hard lines.

sure can as long as the hose is made for fuel

Hig hpressure fuel..... Gotta make sure you actually get the correct hose. Only way to get it at advance is to buy the pre packaged stuff. I you ask the counter for it, they will give you plain old carb line.

Gates sells a specific EFI rubber hose, (good to 60 psi) in 1/4, 5/16'ths, and 3/8ths...in bulk. Just check your local parts stores for the Gates hoses, they should have it on the blue or red plastic reels. It's around $3 to $6 a foot. It will work with the proper

you have to use the proper fuel line clamps......no worm clamps....they cut into the high pressure fuel line.....it's ok to use the line......i have had to replace the hard plastic line on several cars cause it was restricted

              good good !!!!!!

*plans of fox oriented HO parts in the 85 brewing*

I saw an Ebay listing for a panther CFI throttle cable. the seller was describing it as "what mustangs need to flip the intake around" so could one conclude the mustang cables will work in the 85, with the plenum turned the "other" way????
I wonder if the fox fuel rail is the same diameter as box fuel lines...

Yes, there is EFI fuel rated hose. It has EFI stamped on the hose. Advance does carry it, but getting the CD (counter dummy) to find it is another story.

Since you don't have AC, you could run the intake backwards (fox style) but I'd bet you'll find the Mark VII throttle and TV cables will fit better. You'll also need to change the calbe or cruise unit to one with a longer cable. You may also have intake plumbing issues since the battery is in the way.

What I'd do for fuel rails is use a Panther rail since it will put the pressure and return lines on the correct side, which minimizes any plumbing for the fuel system. I would use the 86-91 SEFI fuel lines that go from fuel rail down the side of the engine, and cut them just above the spring-lock. Whack the CFI lines after they go to metal, and couple it. Either that, or whack the lines at the frame just before they go into that plastic stuff, and use high pressure rubber from frame to the side of the engine.

Pete, you need Mark VII cables for the throttle and cruise, for the tranny you can probably use a Mark VII cable again but if it's a bit on the short side you can install a 3.8 T-bird cable as well - that's what I have in my car so I can run the HO parts flipped Panther style, so I'd imagine cables will be plenty long for yer application.
