I've earned a new nickname, one which I deserve never to live down--N00b N00berson.

My dad and I figured it out tonight...we had the spark plug wires arranged clockwise instead of counter clockwise. Man, we're dumb!!!!!!! We rearranged 'em...didn't quite get it started, but we were both tired and wanted to come to bed. I'm gonna fiddle with the timing some more tomorrow and it oughtta run then. If not...well, there aren't too many cliffs in Minnesota, but I'll find one, and push the car off of it.

Qazvik (an old member here) did that on one of his fox bodies. i was helping him trying to get it to run right, when i just asked which direction he did the wires.

Your needling is well deserved, gentlemen...

Anyway, I've got it running now and was working on breaking in the cam last night. I seem to have an oil leak now, but that shouldn't be too hard to find and get rid of. Too dark last night to work on it, plus I wasn't really dressed for it, so I'll get at that today.

I did that before. I figured it had to be something simple. Glad you figured out what the issue was

Yes sir, 'tis soup. My oil leak was from some loose valve cover bolts. Tightened them down a little more and that took care of it.

I've driven it now; performance is still...meh. Between the 3.55 gears and the engine work, I've knocked a whopping 2 seconds off my 0-60. lol Used to be 13 seconds, now it's 11. I think with the decent cam, ported heads, and headers, it can put a lot more air through the engine now, so the lack of carburetion is even more obvious now than it was before. Unfortunately, I won't have time to put the 4 bbl on this summer...guess I'll have to live with the mediocre-ish performance for another school year.
