That's a Fox chassis Marquis--same chassis as a Mustang of the same era. The Ford LTD is teh Ford version of the same thing. The LTD Crown Victoria, of course, is the Panther chassis vehicle.

If you're worried about a car being a Fox rather than a Panther, just ask the person before you go see it whether it's a Marquis or a Grand Marquis. Or if it's a Ford, whether it's an LTD or an LTD Crown Victoria.

      That help?

very much so thanks!! I got nothing against those cars im sure they'd be fun to trick out, im just looking for a panther not a fox.

I knew about the ltd's i just had no idea that they made marquis fox's.. first time i ever seen one.

yep, a Marquis, not a Grand Marquis. At one point in the 70s, the "Grand" was a trim level on basically the same car, in the 80s it was a totally different vehicle. Same with the LTD vs LTD Crown Victoria.

the LTD LX (marquis LTS in canada) was cool though. It was sort of like a SVT version with a HO CFI 5.0
