    VV 7200

Are all of them the same? Any differences from the early 80's ones to the early 90's PI cars? Will an older one fit right on my 90 CVPI? Any thoughts appreciated. Please no suggestions for carb swaps! That may happen at a later date, but not right now.

Shit, I posted this thread twice...

I know that there were some really early ones that weren't computer controlled, but the 351 through 1991 was essentially 1982 technology, so pretty much any VV carb you run across should be okay.

Why do you feel you need to replace it?

I don't need to replace it... I just saw a rebuilt one on Ebay for buy it now $75. I know it was $270 to have my brothers rebuilt. $75 wouldn't be a bad price. It was rebuilt in house at holley or something too.

Mine does have a sticky choke though. I cleaned it and it was fine for a few days, and now its pissing me off again. Other than that I have no reason to complain. They do have a bad rep, and my brothers was very problematic, but mine has been good. The minute it starts fucking up, its gone.

$270 to rebuild a VV??? Dang, I need to go into business doing those things...lol

Mine has always run quite well (cold weather driveability can be a bit lacking, but I think that's more just the nature of a carbed engine than the fact that it's a VV) and gotten decent mileage. I'd keep it except that it's simply not enough intake area. 4 bbl swap coming soon!
