    HO EGR Spacer for 5.0L

I have been asked if I can source some HO EGR spacers in Australia for the 5.0L.

Went down to the local Ford dealer and he advised:

    part number: F1RE9H474AA
    cost: AU$270 incl tax (= US$232 approx)
    availability: No problems (order in)

If I guess the weight as 4lbs (2 kg), then air mail postage to USA for one is approx:
    AU$85 (= US$73)

Google found this page as well:

    New, AU$140 (US$120) + postage to me =
    *GUESS* AU$170 (US$146)

I am more than happy to source the parts for you guys - and ship to USA. Before I do:

    - someone has to confirm this is the correct part and not the LOPO one.
    - let me know a delivery address in USA
    - pay me. I can do credit card or PayPal.

    Cheers

    Good Job Rob !!

yes, that is the correct part. It even has the same base part # as the Lightning EGR spacer, which would make sense since its essentially the same part.
I knew I should have moved to austrailia when I had the chance, they get all the cool stuff.

I have called some of my parts sources at the dealership level and they have no access to export parts. I am going to try some of my sources at Ford Corporate next and see what happens, I am pretty sure the spacer is cast in the US.

that is why we dont have any of the spacers here in the states. they send them to the Aussies. damn Ford, they have a great car if they actually enhanced in a couple areas, and advertised. check your local junkyards there and see if you can get any of them spacers to send this way.

If my friend gets that job in Sydney, I could find a way to ship em to the states cheaper, through the military postal service!

                        Welcome to My World!

I have to import just about everything for my Townie. Example: Even though we have the SAME EFI 302 Windsor block engines here by the bucket load - could NOT get the correct spark plugs here for my car.

Ordered online from USA. 6 days delivery. Final price including air delivery was about the same as buying 8 typical spark plugs in Oz. In otherwords - even sparkplugs cost us more here.

Things are worse at the moment as the US$ has dropped a lot recently - so the same AU$270 part would have cost

                        2005: approx US$200
                        2007: approx US$232
