I was looking at a PTC until i was quoted $800+ for it

as for stall, id say around 2800 or 3000, but you wont stall at that unless you have a tranny brake. and 3.73s are good for a NA motor, but not boosted, get like 2.73, or 3.08s, 3.27s are as steep as id run
I've already got 3.08s. The idea behind 3.73s is that I don't really want to have to be going 30MPH before my RPM gets high enough to spool the turbo. But all these gearing and tranny issues probably won't get worked out completely until I return from a deployment to a big fat lump of money in my account. For now, I'm just going to build the engine and turbo setup as well as a cheapo converter, A+ servo and a new governor. I'll probably grenade the tranny about 2 days after I get it running.
