    emissions box missing...

hello gentlemen, well last week on july 4th i decided to put on some new front rotors/discs on my cv. while under there i noticed i was missing my emissions box. dont know if thats what its called or not(little black box with two hoses connected to it, located directly underneath the battery) but it wasnt there anymore. apparently my battery was sliding around too much, cut the hoses that went to the box and one bump to many led to its downfall. now im not too worried about this but was wondering if i should. hoses are just there hanging, havent gotten around to pluggin them. what do you guys suggest?

I would seriously see if you can get a new one from ford, or a junkyard at the least.

It's a fuel tank vapor canister, for emissions...

It won't hugely affect anything, other than you'll smell gas fumes. There is a vacuum line to it, but it only gets vacuum when decelerating normally. This can possibly make the car stall when you come to stops and stuff, and isn't going to help your fuel mileage any. Might as well replace it, any box will have one.

It could also dump gas fumes under your hood and that can't be a good thing!
