    Code 31 ?

    I ran the code tester today because the "check engine " light is coming on for a few sec. then goes off. The code is a 31 which by my book is a EVP or PFE circuit is below minimum voltage. How do I fix that?
    Also for you LED guys, do I need a regulator or resistors to use them in the tail or inst. panel? Which is better 19, 24 or 48 LED's.

    31 usually means the egr position sensor is out of range. Probably its bad. You can check it against the chart here: http://fordfuelinjection.com/index.php?p=35 basically it should be between 0.24 and 0.67 volts when closed.

      I replaced the EGR sensor and the light is gone.
