I have my TV pressure maxed out under light throttle 1-2 happens at 20mph, 2-3 at 40mph, and for the 3-4 upshift I have to let off no matter what. No slip in any gear, 1-2 and 2-3 shifts are pretty firm even at WOT, and 3-4 literally shakes the car like it's got a manual and I just dumped the clutch. Love it

Having casually tossed together a few AOD's myself...someone here needs to actually buy a transmission pressure gauge set, or have it set at a transmission shop, usually around 2-3 psi (off of the TV line port on the pass. side of the tranny) at idle.
High TV pressure? Also makes for high main line pressure. Bad primarily for the seals, especially for the seals in the clutch baskets. Altering TV pressure to change shift points is a bit of a no-no. The lifting you have to do to go into O/D? That is because line pressure is too great to allow the 3/4 valves in the valve body to let the 3-4 shift function properly, hanging the tranny in 3rd gear.

Okay, if high TV pressure is bad. How do you lower high TV pressure?
Even with the TV cable disconnected, I still have ~50psi at idle. Part throttle 1-2 shifts occur at ~20mph, part throttle 2-3 shifts at~40, don't even think of OD before 55. This is a bit high for my tastes being that these are the part throrttle shifts for just staying with traffic, not foot to the floor acceleration.
