Aftermarket Oil Pans?

What kind of oil pans fit in older boxes with 5.0Ls? The double sump pan that is on the stocker looks like the pans seen on the 5.0L Mustangs. Whatever I decide to build I would like to put a pan that has more oil capacity; in particular the Milodon 5.0L pan (part # 31125) looks really nice and it holds 7 qts. of oil. Will this fit? What are you guys using?

Any Fox Mustang pan works, as long as the middle part where it goes over the crossmember isn't much different than the stock dimensions. The stock Panther pan is identical to the Mustang/Mark VII one. I think Duce and Phayzer are using Canton 7 quart pans.

I ran the Canton road race pan on mine I was going to use on my 84 Mustang. Only issue was the rear sump drain plug was too close to the frame near the rear inner piviot point of the lower control arm. Some trimming would have eased the situation or relocate the drain plug. Worked the way it was just couldnt pull the plug out all the way. might have but for the magnet on the end of the plug.

im running the base model Canton 7 qy in my 351. fits fine, just getting to the torque convertor bolts is a little harder now since the back of the pan is squared off.

Thanks guys/gals!!!! I figured that the Mustng pans would work, but I wanted to ask anyway because nothing is exactly what it seems. I am thinking of building a conservatively cammed 331" 5.0L stroker engine in a year or so for the CV. I am starting a little early in getting a parts list for the engine.
