    emmission data ??

Today i´ve got some bad news...

Our government plans to bann old cars from the streets, except "oldtimers, cars the´re older than 30 years)...
and they say my 1989er Country Squire is one of these "stinky" vehicles, because nobody in Germany nows/has the emmission datas of that car.

It has it´s stock exthaust, ok, but thats all... and its not enough to tell them (the "TÜV") that the US-emmission laws where much stricter than these in Germany...

so i have to find out what emmission gases ( CO NOx HC) produces my car in one mile...
hmpf... thats a nearly impossible thing for me here...

so can anybody help me please?

    thanks alot

What kind of emmissions testing do they have? We have essentially a chassis dyno and sniffer and they run the car for a certain amount of time/distance. I dunno if we could extrapolate the output per mile from our info....

Any mid eighties mustangs over there? Essentially the same motor, so the emissions should be similar.

Do you just need the baseline data so that you have something to compare your cars results to if they are going to test it? If so, I can give you the limits off my E-test sheet.

usually we have here a inspection, like the smog test in the US.
But i need the factory datas of the emmission output per mile.
it´s for the tax. Our taxes dependig on the CUI... and how much emmissions the car blows out. its splitted in "euro" categories...
and the gave me only "euro 1" so that makes about 900$ Taxes per year!
i think, because in the us the emmission laws where much stricter as in germany (in 1989) i can get in the "euro 3" category... so thats only 200$ taxes.

but to get in this category, i had to knew the factory emmission data, to compare them with the "euro 3 standard", and if it´s similar, i have much less to pay

          uff... thats a bad english...

Ok, so I called Ford Motor Company for ya. From what I am told you need a Recall Compliance sheet for your car. It is supposed to have a large list of information, including emissions data, that is used for importing American Cars into Europe.

So, if you are interested I can take care of it for your.

            What is needed is:
            VIN#
            Year
Make, Models (including LS, GS bull crap)
            And your name.

When I communicate with them they will send me the sheet and I can send it out to you.

Or if you can you can communicate with them yourself at 1-800-392-3673.

Though I suspect that your cost in phone time may be high, where it is free for me. I don't know if 800 numbers are free internationally.

If you would like me to take care of it, PM me the info and a couple million dollars would be nice as well.
