    Smell.

Hey mang's I was driving the Beast around tonight taking home my underling back to the jail.. anyways. I came across a smell about mid trip thought someone was burning leaves. Didnt think to much of it. Then when i was leaving the Jail. I noticed another sent that smelt like i dunno. burning rubber almost? but not quite.

Just got me a bit conserended.. And as it was pitch black i coldent pop the hood and just start looking.

Although the smell did go away.

Any idea's of where i should look? Thanks Mang's

    Concerned?

Could have been something on the converter. Might want to check it tomorrow morning.

yeah, see if there is anything melted to the exhaust. My exhaust has remains of a plastic bag that got melted to it quite some time ago.

might wanna check your front left brake pads/disk. not too long ago same thing happened to me, when driving down the freeway, i saw a plastic bag floating around and it eventually went down under the car. minutes later i smelled a scent, different smell and i right away got off the highway into a gas station and looked around. turns out it was that damn plastic bag dat got caught in the brake pads and just got fried in there. reason i pulled off was cuz of the smell but also b/c when i would brake, the pedal wouldn't respond until i would jam it near the floor. all this do to a damn plastic bag. imagine that. lol that bastard of a bag!

I had a heavy plastic bag (used for carrying fertilizer) get caught on the Y-pipe of my Malibu on the way to college. Didn't smell anything until I parked it at the parking garage. I pulled it off and some of it still remains on the pipe and that was years ago. When my turn signal actuator/high beam switch fried it smelled similar to what you smelt. Though, your turn signals are still working right?

You sure the "underling" didn't eat anything that may have been particularly pungent when later expelled in a gaseous state?

Kinda like when you let out a minuscule fart and don't even know it, and then wonder why the car smells like ass for about 5 mins.

Last time I smelled that it was the grease in my wheelbearings on the front end. About a week later I spun and broke one of the bearings at 80 on the way home.
