since im swapping flexplates tomorrow, o bought an additional rear main seal just in case. Fel-Pro now makes a PTFE (teflon) rear main seal. it is supposed to last longer than the rubber. it is build different than the rubber. the rubber uses a spring to maintain tension on the crank where the teflon just uses a stiff lip to keep pressure.

if you got the 2 piece rear main in that 351, I would say its not worth it.
