    351W camshaft?????

Hey would a roller camshaft for a 5.0HO fit in a carbed 351W I wanted to get a crane cam for it?

Unless you have a F4-up 351W block, no, it won't be a direct bolt-in, unless you buy Crane retrofit roller lifters, and matching pushrods.

Nope, still doomed. 1994-up only 351W blocks are set up for roller cams. 1993-down needs the crane lifters I spoke of earlier.

What he said. There are lots of flat tappet camshaft choices out there, so you can go with one of those instead.

If you go with flat tappet, find one for a 5.0 There are a lot mor choices, especially in the middle to upper power band. You just have to run the 5.0 firing order to use the 5.0 cam in a 351W

Problem with the 302 firing order is the load it puts on the 3rd main bearing...I'd never put a 302 firing order cam in an engine. Yeah, it limits your choices somewhat, but there's still a lot of stuff out there with 351 firing order.

Hey don't all your silly lopo's come with a 302 firing order cam? If it was that bad for a motor they would have just given them all a ho pattern cam

Yeah, and they all knock until a 351W FO cam is installed. Wierd, HUH? A 140hp 5.0 that CANNOT run more than 4500rpm will last forever with the 302 FO. It's the higher performance motors that benefit.

Yeah, haven't you ever heard a 302 in a Vic or a truck with the death knock? Most of them get bearing noise by about 150k, its just the nature of the beast.
