    How long

    Hello my peoples

I have a very quick question,.

How long does it take for a computer to re learn it's self hehe

I ask due to i was reading a tread and someone said disconect the - battery termanel and mash the brake.

I have done it like this evrey time i put something new in my car hehe

    Anyways.

Lator on in that tread the guy asked how he should mash the brake I.E. Stabbing methode Quick Or hold it to the floor.

And someone else's responce was. Just hold it down for 30 secounds. to drain all the juice out of the car.

Well i never done that, i allways just mashed the brake all the way down and then released.

Anyhow. So i did this last night as i was doing a Pete man mod hehe, ( Useing a old floormat for a splash guard in the engine bay. )

Anyways this evening i hope in the black beast. And, to my astonishment It rode and even sounded difrent... My jaw just about droped.
The erm, ehsaust it's seld sounded deeper. And that put put put sound that was coming from the cfi was no longer there instead It sounded like raw power...
And to boot. It had more power. alot more power. Eh. to be exzact. 0 - 55 in about 70 yards.. and coulda grown where as before 0 - 55 in about 175 yards.

Anyways it just got me to really woundering how long it takes a computer to re learn evreything and if these good things that have happend will go away.. Or if there perminent hehe Cause i dont wont to go Hurah, and it be quat. you know? like the past 500 times i have done. hehe

Still though the question in mind would be stalling but hey walk before we run right. hehe

O thing's i have put on new that didnt get the computer rebooted till yesterday./ That i know off the top of my head are

    O2 sensor,
    TPS
    EGR sensor
    Vacume Lines.

Thats all i can member off the top of my head hehe.

Anyways comments are more then welcome. And i am sorry if i have any grammer issues. I am woundering around now for two days with only four hours of sleep. toatole. actualy today is 3 days. Ugh.

    Anyways Thanks in advance

lol, a Petemang mod... I like that.

Did you disconnect the bettery this time becuase you took some electrical connections loose? You have have had a bad connection in the ECM ground wire clip coming off the negative battery terminal (or in some other connection), and you messed with it enough to bring the connection back.

As far as the brakes thing, Im sure just tapping the brakes would be enough to drain any small amount of juice the cars electrical system had stored.
Glad to hear shes running even better now

hehehe, well i am planning on a carb swap... Might just save up for that instead of parts for the cfi i dunno.. Way i figure if i do that,. I might as well just save up for a rebuild on a engine and kinda hot rod that engine.. And if i do that i might as well save up to send her up to Scott mang. And Get him to do it + put a 5 speed in her... And thats where my current job dosent support the funds :-/

from what i have seen in manuals, it doesnt take long for it to relearn. it says to reconnect the battery and start the car with no accessories on. let it run and find its idle for something like 5 minutes. i have had to let people know this when i bought a battery and had them do the free install. they thought i was crazy, but were surprised at how it had a bad idle till it leveled itself out.
