Bosch=garbage. I just did my plugs in my 88. If my memory serves me correct, spark plug gap stock is .042-.046 I'm running a higher power MSD Ignition coil, so I gapped my plugs a bit larger. All you need Is a keychain gap tool or a set of feeler guages. Took me about 10 min to gap all 8 plugs, and just over an hour to change them (right side sucks balls with all the emission and a/c stuff in the way) Everyone on here I've taked to reccomends either Motocrafts or Autolites, but there have been a couple incidents with Autolites. I personally use NGK's in everything I own that takes spark plugs.

Autolite/Motorcraft copper core plugs are the best. .044" gap is what is required for most of our cars. If you over gap, just tap the ground electrode a few times on the table to close it up. It's almost like a science. Avoid Platinium plugs in your car.

I just rap the plugs lightly on something solid to close the gap. Don't slam them, just tap them a couple times and re-check the gap.

20-30,000 on plugs, Wires 75K unless they start arching first. Make sure to buy good quality wires, silicone core, made to fit and lifetime warranty.

I'm a bit anal and change plugs about once a year, but thats me. Usually I go 10-15k on a set and can them. Cap/rotor get changed about every other plug change, but I inspect them whenever I do plugs and replace if needed. Wires I replace depending when they break, but usually maybe every 30-40k. Yes, replace things usually more often than necessary.
