apply about 5 volts to it and it'll open. Be careful not to trigger them for too long or it will get hot and kill the injector. You can actually trigger the injector by finding the negative side of the wiring, and grounding it. The injectors have constant +5v, injector pulse is achieved by switching the ground on and off.

I've always been told that the only way to clean injectors effectivly is to disable the fuel pump and hook the vehicle up to a IV type rig that has the gas/concentrated cleaner, or a motovac machine, which uses a 300ml bottle of chemical mixed with gas that is then hooked up to your fuel rail, or terra-clean (what our shop uses) that has pressurized cans of injector cleaner and carbon cleaner that cycle back and forth, the cans screw onto a machine that looks like a plastic backpack. We were told in highschool that if you were to put a chemical into your gastank that was actually stron enough to properly clean your injectors, it would cause alot of damage. I still dump a bottle of off the shelf fuel system cleaner occasionaly just cause it makes me feel good and most likely it was free cause it got damaged and was pulled off the shelf

Mmm... terra-clean. When I got raped getting my car to pass emissions, after several failed attempts, they suggested their terra-clean. So I said what the hell. They claim they had to do it 4 times before the car passed.

I'm not too impressed by terra-clean. Of course I don't actually believe that they did the terra-clean. THey didn't do anything else that they billed me for...
