    getting sluggish

my car is relly starting to get sluggish,,, it had lots of get up and go a few weeks ago, but now she is relly slowing down, if i floor it from a stand still it just boggs right down and some times pops out the carb, and if im driving and need to speed up ill kick the pedel down a bit and it justs boggs down before slowly aceclerating, before if i did that it would just get up and go, and before if i stood on it from a stand still it would lite up the tires, it has new wires and cap, (well a few months old) and i put the plugs in almost a year ago, the coil is a supper stock accel,
the engine dosent knock, and only has 170,000 kms on it,

Accelerator pump going bad? The entire carb could probably use a rebuild.

You need to get an another 4V intake!

Good deal. I was getting annoyed with sluggishness for a while, and found my timing had somehow bumped itself back to 6 degrees, when I'm certain I'd originally set it at at least 10. Now it's back up at 12-14 degrees and feeling great.

Timing on my '82 sucks. I've advanced it as far as it can go without hitting the intake/water neck and I've only got 10 degrees. I think it was factory installed a tooth off, the factory wanted it at 8 degrees on my car.

Sounds like it's time to pull it out and install it a tooth advanced, and retune!
