It's often been a very popular choice with Mustang guys, though with no real reasoning behind it.............. I have plenty of piston to valve clearance with it and 1.7's.

I just got back from the track, and the car only picked up a second over last year, which isn't cool. The cam would come on just before the car would shift, it was awful.

Need to get it on a dyno and see where it's making power.

Regardless, there ARE better choices than the E-cam, and for a heavier car, the stock HO cam is a good choice.

An neat combo would be the TFS top-end kit, have you looked into it?
Ditch those 1.7 rockers and you might be closer to 17 inches. PORTED HEADS at least the ones from my shop dot need more than the standard rockers and specks near to the E cam. If you think more cam is needed lets discuss your build and intended use.

Well, the vacuum is irrelevant now that the car has a MAF conversion, the car was pulling mad vacuum before the H/C/I swap, so I know it's the cam. The 1.7's are on there, I'm going to leave them on there for now, it's not a performance car anyways. It's the tranny that really seems to be my issue now, and I'm not willing to do much to it. That's why I have a race car

I'd love to put some REAL heads on the Lincoln, but it's not in the budget. I really wish it had a stock HO cam in it, I think it would have done a lot better at the track.

i think thers a better wat to get close to 400 hp without going to a radical cam or changing to carb. (both which seem to be problems in your case) and if it were me, id get some sweet heads and buy used intake / headers

That's a great point. It's amazing what can be done with really good heads (AFR 185s, perhaps?) on an otherwise boring-looking combo. Things like cams are usually so much cheaper than good heads that that can be hard to keep in mind!
