    5.8 Thermostat Housing sensor ?

Does anyone know what the sensor is called? I attached the picture below. It seized in there and will probably have to purchase a new one unless it can be bypassed? Not sure if it will cause issues if so. The new thermostat housing has a plug/cap in its place. Thanks for any info.

Master parts manual says 12A091 is a distributor vacuum control valve. Guessing it blocks vac advance when cold and allows it when hot. You can probably just connect the vacuum to the distributor directly if you aren't overly concerned about the stock emissions controls working like they would have whenever.

The parts store will know it as a ported vacuum switch. Usually matched by color (temperature that it actuates) and port count. Might have to cap off an extra port.
