    5.8 bad fuel pump?

Car would run for about 10 min then die out and have a hard time starting back up. Now it only turns over if pour gas directly into the carb, then does out once the gas burns off the carb. Symptoms of a bad pump? Thanks for any pointers.

bad pump or an air leak on the suction side. Easy enough to tell, unhook the suction line from the pump, stick your finger over the fitting on the pump and have someone crank the engine. if you don't feel suction, the pump is bad.

Might need to use a short bit of hose for this if you would prefer to keep your fingers.
