Ok, the last couple times I drove the '88...When I start it, the idle will surge up and down kinda drastically. It doesn't stall, but it goes way down and way up....then it evens out. Then I drive a few miles down the road and it's revving way too high, pull off and put it in park and it's screamin'.
Once I unplugged the TPS and started it and it didn't seem to do much so I plugged it back in and it was fine. Yesterday, when I unplugged the TPS the idle got real high....plug it back in and its fine. Unplugging the IAC did nothing, didn't try to stall or anything. The IAC is brand new. DO I need a IAC???
