I'm running one of those goofy Spectre see-through filters on the '87, just because it was the cheapest way to get everything hard-plumbed from the mechanical fuel pump. Fancy performance fuel filters are EXPENSIVE!
The '79 is just running a Deutsche filter from AutoZone.

Purolator is the company that invented filters for engines way back when... Also, a regular inline should not be used if you have fuel injection... it will not handle the pressure and come apart....

i use whatever advance gives me like 7 bucks 4 one........change that fuel filter every yr!
